The Film Festival

NollywoodWeek Film Festival is a non-profit initiative created to promote African film

The NollywoodWeek Film Festival (NOW) was launched in 2013 in Paris, France by film enthusiasts and curators after they noticed a lack of films that appealed to the large and diverse Black community in France and Europe at large. Paris is the epi-center of film yet there wasn’t a single festival that catered to the second largest film industry in the world: Nollywood.

NollywoodWeek Film Festival gave recognition where recognition was due and created a festival that not only showcased films from Nigeria but also bridged the gap between Francophone and Anglophone Africa. 10 years later, NOW continues to celebrate films that embrace the Nollywood spirit and delight audiences.
